Is retirement knocking at the door? These are the best retirement communities in America!

According to various statistics, the United States population over 65 years old is expected to grow continuously over the next decades. Woo, that’s quite a lot!

These numbers are somehow a huge alarming sign for many citizens concerned about their future. Will they be able to afford stuff? Medical care? What about the prices? Will the inflation stop and things may get back on track? These are just some of the thousands of questions American citizens frequently ask.

As we age and require more care, we often want to remain in one location, so moving between facilities on many occasions may be quite unpleasant.

Since people need valid proof before believing every clickbait article on the internet, I promise that the Retired in USA crew does thorough research before writing articles. So you can trust us to be among those who have accurate information for our readers.

Now, without further ado, let’s see which are the best retirement communities so you will be ready for your future.

Landis Homes

Landis Homes is among the best retirement communities, voted by both residents and professionals mostly because of what it offers. Numerous advantages are available to you here, including meals, social services, volunteer work, lifelong learning, rehabilitation, and emotional support.

There are apartments, cottages, and hybrid houses available to residents. Situated near Livitz, Pennsylvania, Landis features an exquisite campus encircled by lakes and lush vegetation.

If you’re also an art lover, you may be delighted to find out that in Landis Homes they also have libraries, an art gallery, and many other luxuries.

Bonus tip: people are very nice and warm, especially towards those who are newcomers.

The Hearthstone Green Lake

The view, the location, everything is amazing about this community. Winning a great spot in the top of the best retirement communities in America, The Heartstone Green Lake, located in Washington, provides excellent nursing, memory care, assisted living, therapy, and rehabilitation.

The lovely setting of this institution, where residents may experience all four seasons just outside their door, is one of its advantages. Additionally, as it is a non-profit organization serving the community, choices are made for the needs of the people living there rather than those of the owners of the company. This is a huge plus compared to other organizations that don’t actually care about the locals that much.

Despite its Lutheran foundation, the institution offers excellent care and assisted living to people of various genders, orientations, and religious backgrounds.

The Admiral at the Lake

A lot of American retirees recommend this location because of many reasons. Let’s see why. The Admiral at the Lake is a Chicago, Illinois, property close to Foster Avenue Beach and the city’s north side. In addition to breathtaking skylines and natural treasures, residents enjoy lively communities. The building exudes style, location, and grandeur.

The establishment was designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. Memory support, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities are among the health treatments available to those who require assistance with daily activities such as dressing or taking a shower. Sounds great, I’d say!

Moorings Park

There is no surprise that Florida is full of retirees, and Moorings Park is one of the best retirement communities located in Naples, Florida. If you desire to have an active life during retirement, you’re going to love it here.

Monthly book groups, yacht clubs, themed cocktail parties, and even painting classes are all available. Home health, skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, outpatient treatment, doctor services, and a Center for Healthy Living are all included in the category of healthcare.

In addition to fine art and pottery workshops, bocce ball and tennis courts, a salon and spa, resort-style pools and spas, and day excursions to museums, theaters, and dining establishments are all features of this upscale neighborhood.

Roland Park Place

Residents at Roland Park Place in Baltimore can select from a range of building layouts, which makes it one of the best retirement communities around the area. If you want to work even after retirement, here is the place that offers a lot of great opportunities.

The care options include memory care in assisted living, independent living, physical therapy, ambulatory care, health care centers, and personal assistance programs. Dining alternatives, community areas, and exercise and engagement programs are all examples of conveniences.

Aren’t you convinced yet? Then you should know that the first and only authorized LifePlan community in the Baltimore region is Roland Park Place, which is important information to know if you’re thinking about retiring there.

Freedom Pointe at the Villages

Freedom Pointe in the Villages is a Florida-based community that provides assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation. Residents adore the in-home emergency response system, regular on-campus concerts and events, group exercise programs, round-the-clock security, and pet-friendly senior living.

The building also features guest suites, a health center with a heated indoor pool, a library, and an arts and crafts studio. There are several food options, as well as bike, walking, and nature paths, available to residents.

Looking to jumpstart your active life? Start slowly and first get yourself a yoga mat that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, especially if you don’t want to do exercises more than a couple times a week. Signature Fitness All Purpose 1/4-Inch High-Density Anti-Tear Exercise Yoga Mat with Carrying Strap has a decent price on Amazon, only $14.99. Pick your favorite color out of 5 available.

HumanGood – Valle Verde

Voted by many retirees as one of the best retirement communities, HumanGood-Valle Verde, located in Santa Barbara, California, offers a ton of great opportunities. Convenience store, fitness center, day spa, salon, theater, pool, barbershop, library, and suites in the bed and breakfast style are all available to you there.

Residents can select between memory assistance, skilled nursing, assisted living, and residential living all within one close-knit community. Beaches, wineries, parks, elegant dining, the arts, and entertainment abound in Santa Barbara, and Valle Verde is conveniently located near many of the city’s well-known attractions.

The organization stresses the need to “rightsize” rather than “downsize,” putting individuals in homes that are properly tailored to meet their requirements.

Edgemere

Compared to other retirement communities mentioned above, Edgemere has two locations in Dallas, Texas, in the Preston Hollow neighborhood.

Gourmet food, exercise programs in groups, a wellness center, beautiful outdoor areas, a salon and spa, social areas and entertainment, a business center, and a movie theater are all available to residents. A 60-day stay, skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living are all included in the health services.

Restaurants maintain inhabitants’ health by using locally sourced products, all the while offering unique flavors that never get old.

Willow Valley Communities

With an “A” financial grade, Willow Valley Communities markets itself as a prudent financial choice that provides comfort. Select from a variety of living options, including newly constructed apartments, one-story villas, two-story townhomes, and a design studio.

The building has a clubhouse, exercise center, and cultural center. Select from memory assistance, independent living, personal care, and nursing care. Some reviews refer to it as the greatest location to retire, praising the food and the staff’s warmth.

So, which one would you choose? Let us know in the comments.

I would choose neither one of these communities because you don’t mention Ericson Living’s Riderwood in Silver Spring, MD; Villas at Prospect Point in Annapolis, MD; Maplewood at Park Place in Bethesda, MD; The Carnagie at Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg, MD; The Mather at Tyson’s Corner, VA; or Villas at King Farm in Rockville, MD. I’m NOT interested in moving so far from my support network here in the DMV. Besides, Chi-town is known for its cold winters, Naples is vulnerable to hurricanes; The Villages are known for being a hotbed of GOP voters (guess who doesn’t vote for GOP candidates); and Washington State is known for being a year-round rainy state.
