6 Signs You May End Up Broke in Retirement

#1 Your spending habits will end up changing

You may be one of the most frugal people now, but you never know how that can change once you reach retirement. After all, everyone talks about all the things you can do once you have all that free time and the means to do them, but you can end up overspending easily. A lot of seniors have admitted to spending a lot more money than they used to on doing social activities or keeping themselves entertained when compared to the times when they were working.

A good way to make sure you do not fall for this clear sign of fund draining is to look for ways to keep active and entertained that do not involve spending a lot of money. Because as fun as it is to go out to a restaurant with friends and family, it can leave you dry fast. Try to join a book club or partake in some other community activities, and maybe even volunteer if you can. Stay active by taking walks or hiking, and enjoy the companionship of others just like you!
