Tennessee is a beautiful state, but unfortunately, it ranks fourth on the list of the most depressed states. And according to researchers, socioeconomic issues are a big factor when we are talking about depression and how it spreads among different locations.

Again, as in Vermont, it is hard for those from Tennessee to access help. If they need to reach out for help regarding a mental health condition, the cost would be too high for many, and this might make people not want to search for the needed help.

If we look at the number of mental health professionals that Tennessee has, we can notice that there is a percentage of 16.3, while the national average is 27.7%. This means that even if the state has a high number of depressed people, there are not many professionals who can help them.
