Looking to save some money on cellphone service? Think about joining a family plan, switching carriers, or purchasing your phone outright instead of getting one on a payment plan. With a little creativity and planning, you can get the connectivity you want for less.

Another idea you should consider is switching to a prepaid carrier or plan. Prepay-only carriers like Mint Mobile, Cricket, and Visible provide lower-cost plans, some of which come with unlimited data.

You can also search on Google for a plan comparison tool to find a cheaper phone or cheaper service.
