Planning for retirement is one of the most significant financial tasks Americans need to consider. No one wants to work forever, but people who fail to plan accordingly for their senior years will find themselves either working well into their golden years or unable to afford the life they dream of as they grow old.

While the basics are fairly simple: save, invest wisely, and withdraw strategically, there are many aspects people should be aware of.

The IRS has released some new tax cut adjustments for the coming year, adding thousands of dollars to most marginal tax brackets and potentially protecting more of your finances from taxes in 2023.
